When you connect your Facebook account, we receive data through the Facebook API with your explicit consent. See Section 3 for details on permissions.
3. Facebook Permissions We Use
We request the following permissions from your Facebook account. All access is read-only. We never post, modify, or delete anything on your behalf.
public_profile
Used for OAuth authentication. We receive your Facebook name and internal account ID to identify you within the Service.
business_management
Used to access and display the list of ad accounts available in your Business Manager, so you can select which accounts to connect to Akanalitiks.
ads_read
Used to retrieve advertising data from your connected ad accounts via the Facebook Marketing API. This includes:
- Ad account names and IDs
- Time zone of each ad account
- Campaigns, ad sets, and ads: names, IDs, and settings (status, geo, OS, gender, age, daily budget, lifetime budget, delivery strategy)
- Creative names (names only — we do not download creative assets)
- Performance metrics: impressions, clicks, spend, conversions
Access tokens for your ad accounts are stored in encrypted form. API calls are secured with appsecret_proof.
We only request the Facebook permissions necessary to provide the Service's advertising analytics functionality.
You can revoke these permissions at any time in your Facebook profile under Settings & Privacy → Settings → Business Integrations.
Akanalitiks uses Facebook data solely to provide the advertising analytics functionality of the Service. We do not use Facebook data for advertising, profiling, or any purpose unrelated to providing the Service.

We do not sell your personal information. We do not use your data for advertising purposes.
5. Legal Basis for Processing (GDPR)
If you are located in the European Economic Area (EEA), we process your personal data on the following legal bases:
- Contractual necessity — to provide the Service you have requested
- Consent — for Facebook permissions, which you grant explicitly during OAuth authorization
- Legitimate interests — for security, fraud prevention, and service improvement
- Legal obligation — where required by applicable law

We do not sell or rent your personal information. We may share data only in the following cases:
- Infrastructure provider: Our servers are hosted on Vultr. Data is stored in a controlled, secure environment.
- Payment processing: A third-party payment provider processes payments on our behalf. We do not store full payment card details on our servers.
- Legal requirements: We may disclose information if required by law or in response to valid legal requests.
7. Data Retention
We retain your personal data and connected advertising data for as long as your account and connected accounts remain active or as needed to provide the Service.
When you remove a connected Facebook account or advertising account from Akanalitiks, the data associated with that account is scheduled for automatic deletion within 90 days if you do not use the Service during this period.

Depending on your location, you may have the following rights:
- Access — request a copy of the personal data we hold about you
- Erasure — request deletion of your personal data

We use cookies only to ensure the Service functions correctly and to remember your preferences. We do not use cookies for advertising or third-party tracking.
You can disable cookies in your browser settings, but this may affect the functionality of the Service.
11. Children's Privacy
The Service is not directed to individuals under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
12. International Data Transfers
Your data may be transferred to and stored on servers located outside your country of residence. We take reasonable steps to ensure your data is protected in accordance with applicable laws.
